Johnny Sow and Vida Scannell, graduates of Alleyn's School in West Dulwich will be donating a month of their time during their gap year to work with the Thomas Peters and Regent Rural Education Community Primary School. Johnny plans to study Physics and mathematics at University and Vida is very creative – interested in art, drama and writing. In January, Johnny will be helping with maths teaching and building up our database on the two schools. Vida will be organising fun-filled, stimulating activities for the children at the end of the school year in June and July. Johnny and Vida have been extremely generous in not only donating their time but also funding their travel and accommodation. We are delighted that these two have linked up with us and hope the experience will be a good one for them, the Charity and the children.
Mary Harper, Johnny's mother, kindly provided a suitcase full of pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, crayons, felt tip pens, exercise books and geometry sets for the children to use. The children were overjoyed to receive these gifts which will ensure that they can take full advantage of Johnny's maths skills.
