News » Christmas Party at Thomas Peters School
22/12/2010
Due to the extraordinary generosity of one of the donors to The Charity Service of Manchester, England, a new friend and supporter of TLBPET, the children of Thomas Peters Primary School were able to enjoy a fantastic Chrismas party. This was the first time that the school had been able to organise a party for its pupils. Part of the donation of Le 3 million made when the Chief Executive, Michael Colin and two of his collegues visited the school in early December, was used to provide a feast of jollof rice, stew, biscuits, cakes and soft drinks. There was music, so the children were able to dance and enjoy themselves to their hearts content.
This partnership between the Trust and The Charity Service continues with the Chief Executive, Michael Colin, giving instructions to the contractor to begin work on the toilet facilities for both teachers and pupils at Regent Cultural Education Community Primary.
The Charity Service is also looking at a much bigger project to incorporate the development of Thomas Peters with another school. Further details regarding this will be posted at a later stage. The Trust is incredibly grateful to The Charity Service for its generosity and support of these two school projects.
